Our story so far...

Hillhouse was created by Daniel and Emily in 2024 out of a shared love for candles, home fragrance, and the feeling of home itself. We wanted to create something truly special: scents that tell stories, evoke memories, and bring warmth to any space.

Hand poured in small batches

From our countryside studio, we hand-pour every candle and wax melt in small batches, using 100% natural soy wax, cotton wicks and our own unique blends of premium fragrance oils. Every product is carefully handcrafted and beautifully packaged in boxes we designed ourselves, ensuring that each scent feels like an experience from the moment you open it.

Each fragrance we create is inspired by moments and places close to our hearts.

We spend a lot of time testing and refining each fragrance to make sure it truly reflects the original idea. With Potting Shed, for example, we wanted to capture not just the fresh green scent of tomato leaves but also the watery freshness released when the plants are newly watered, balanced with the herbaceous notes of our garden’s herb bed.

Hillhouse is a small, family run business

This journey started purely from passion, and we’re so excited for what’s to come.
